  Student Ministry

Campus Ministry works to encourage the prayer/faith life of students and their service to the wider community. Students plan Eucharistic liturgies; prayer, chapel, and reconciliation services; and retreats. They also take part in outreach activities such as walks, Habitat for Humanity, tutoring students at Baudit School, work for affordable housing for the poor, give service to the elderly, the homeless, and needy youths, and collaborate with other Catholic schools on social issues. Each student is required to participate in one of the outreach activities mentioned above.

Community Service is a required activity in the Junior year. Each Junior must complete fifty hours of community service, write reflections on her experience, and share them with her class. Possible Community Service activities include participation in working at centers for abused children or the handicapped, and service at day care centers or hospitals.

Peer Support consists of approximately twenty Junior and Senior students who are selected and trained by the professional staff to meet in small groups with eighth graders on a weekly basis during school time throughout the school year. They discuss issues of contemporary teen interest as they arise in the lives of the group members. Peer Support leaders, because of their natural inclinations towards helping others and also because of the training they receive, are peer helpers to whomever they encounter through their routine interactions in their daily lives.
