Junior, Kristen Kern, scored first to tie things up, before senior, Katherine Moody, put Sacred Heart ahead for good.  A late goal by sophomore, Sarah Martin, was the icing on the cake, giving the Cardinals back-to-back soccer state titles.

Kristen Kern was named the game MVP.

Swimming Finishes as State Runner-up
For the second consecutive year, the Sacred Heart Swim Team finished the season as the State Runner-up.   Megan Jackson led the way, winning GOLD in the 100 free, and the Cardinals added a silver medal in relay behind the efforts of Clerc Cooper, Courtney LaChute, Elizabeth Burvant, and Elizabeth Selden.

Volleyball's Run at State Title Falls 2 Points Short
Coach Barnes would be the first to tell you that the start to the season didn't look very promising.  By the time the final whistle blew, his team would find itself in a place it wanted to be, but with a heartbreaking  ending.

After avenging two losses in the regular season to both De La Salle and McGehee, Sacred Heart beat both schools when it counted most, knocking both out of the state playoffs.  What didn't seem imaginable two months ago, then became a magical run to the state finals against Catholic of New Iberia.  The Cardinals jumped all over Catholic to take what appeared to be a commanding two games to zero lead, before the wheels came off and the Panthers mounted a comeback to tie the match at two games.

2010 Volleyball State Runner-Up
One final game remained to crown a champion, creating an intense fifth and deciding game with everything at stake.  Game five went back and forth all the way until Catholic held a 14-13 lead.  Sacred Heart would end up as the State Runner-up following a double hit call to end the match.
