Middle School Track Closes Season with Strong Finishes Across Divisions

The middle school track team competed in their final regular season track meet on Saturday. The 5/6 team finished in 2nd place out of 14 teams while the 7/8 team finished 6 out of 12 teams. The 5/6 team had some highlights with the 4x100 relay of Stella O., Ava V., Claire A., and Clara G. placing 3rd with a time of 1:04.41. The 4x200 relay of Aria K., Hayden L., Brynn W., and Reed C., placed 2nd with a time of 2:14.26. Ava L.’32 ran a 20.80 in the 100 meter hurdles for a 4th place finish. Brynn W.’32 placed 2nd in the 200 while Stella O.’32. placed 4th in the same event. Reed C.33 finished in 4th place in the 1600 meter run. Georgia C.’32 placed 4th in the 400 meter dash. In the high jump event Stella O. ’32 jumped 4-0 for a 3rd place finish. In the shot put event Clara C.’33 threw a 17-01 for a 4th place finish while Juliette H. ’33 tagged a 5th place finish in the same event. The relay team in the 7th/8th grade division of the 4x800 of Lacey C., Naomi H., Coco D., and Helen W., ran a 12:40.86 for a 3rd place finish. Madeline P., KK D., Caroline L., and Coco D., managed a 4th place finish in the 4x200 relay. Norah L.’30 finished 4th place in both the javelin and long jump event while Isabella B.’31 finished 5th in the same event. In the 100 meter hurdles Mae G. ’32 finished in 4th place with a time of 20.63. Congratulations Cardinals!
