The MS Track team competed in the St. Margaret’s relays at Muss Bertolino on Tuesday, March 31st before the holiday break. In this smaller meet the team fared well with some top performers in various events. In the 7/8 grade division Adele R.’30 took home 1st in the 200 meter dash with Ela G.’31 coming in 3rd while Claire M.’30 placed 4th in the same event. The Cardinals went 1,2, 3 in the 100 meter hurdles with Mae Helen G.’32 finishing in 1st with an impressive 20.20 sec time while Ava L.’32 and Hailey T.’30 rounded out 2nd and 3rd place respectively. The 4x400 relay of Emeline E.’31, Hartley P.’30, Kamrin B.’31 and Lacey C.’32 placed 2nd and in the 4x800 relay Coco D.’31, Jane A.’31, Helen W.’31 and Lacey C.’32 also placed 2nd. In the Long Jump Ela G.’31 placed 3rd with Emeline E.’31 taking home 4th place in the same event. Ann Frances H.’30 threw a 66.5 in the turbo javelin event for a 1st place finish while Joy G.’31 snagged 4th. Joy G.’31 then placed 1st in the shot put event while Adelle R.’30 took home 2nd place. In the 5th/6th grade division, Hayden L.’33 finished 3rd in the 100 Meter Dash with a time of 17 secs while Gabrielle L.’33 placed 5th in the same event. Brynn W.’32 ran a 30 flat time in the 200 Meter dash for a 1st place finish. Georgia C.’32 snagged 1st place in the 1600 Meter run while Reed C. ’33 finished 3rd in the same event. In the 100 meter hurdles Lexei R.’32 finished 1st while Claire A’/. 33 and Artemis L.’33 finished in 3rd and 4th place. The 4x400 relay of Claire A.’33, Beatrice D.’32, Elliot D.’33 and Georgia C.’32 placed 2nd with a time of 5:30.57 while in the 4x800 relay Laney G.’33, Gabrielle L.’33, Reed C. ’33 and Georgia C.’32 finished with a time of 11.57.58. Evie S.’33 and Lillian R.’33 took home a 2nd place and 4th place finish in the long jump event. Juliette H.’33 and Clara G.’33 finished in 1st and 2nd in the shot put event while Corrine K.’33 threw a 37-7 in the turbo javelin event for a 3rd place finish. The Cardinals will be in action on April 18th at St. Martin’s Episcopal.
