Soccer 

ASH 5/6 White vs. Ursuline  1/6/26 

The 5/6 White team played a competitive match against Ursuline on Monday, ultimately falling 2–0. The team continues to show noticeable improvement each week. Claire A.’33 and Clara G.’33 led strong efforts on offense, while Ava L.’32 and Lauren E.’32 anchored the defense and effectively controlled the center of the field. Overall, the girls are steadily building their chemistry and growing stronger as a team.

 

7/8 vs. Newman 1/6/26 

The 7/8 grade soccer team suffered a tough loss to Newman on Tuesday. They fought hard throughout the match. Scarlett S.’31  and Meredith H.’31 worked well together on the left side of the field, helping to shut down many Newman attacks. Sydney S.’31 and Madeleine P.’32  kept the pressure on the Newman defense, creating a couple of strong chances for the cardinals. The whole team played with effort and courage for all 60 minutes.

 

5/6 Red Soccer vs. Willow 1/8/26 

The 5/6 Red team had a fantastic showing against Willow, winning 4-1 on Thursday. Gigi L.’32 scored two goals, and Georgia C.’32  and Brynn W.’32 had one goal each. Campbell T.’32  and the defense had a stellar performance. The midfield is consistent each week, with Evie B.’32  and Sarah C.’32 locking down the center of the field. 

 

5/6 White Soccer vs. Trinity 1/9/26 

The 5/6 White team had a tough loss against Trinity on Friday, but showed great resilience throughout the game. The players maintained a positive attitude and consistently supported their teammates both on and off the field. Landry F.’32 led the effort with a goal.

 

5/6 Red Soccer vs. McGehee 1/9/26

The Cardinals edged McGehee in a thrilling 3–2 victory on Friday, in a true nail-biter of a match. Ella H.’32 delivered an outstanding performance in goal, making key saves under pressure. Georgia C.’32 led the charge with a hat trick while also controlling the midfield and offense. Kate M. ’32 showed great versatility, playing striker in the first half and center back in the second. Strong contributions from Lexie R. ’32 on defense and Evie B. ’32 and Sarah C.’32 in the midfield helped seal the win. The result was a hard-earned, well-deserved win that highlighted the team’s determination, depth, and resilience.

 

Basketball 

 

ASH 5/6 White vs. St. Martin’s 1/7/26

The 5/6 white team played a competitive game against St. Martin's last Wednesday. The team dropped the contest with a final of 19-10 but the grit and heart displayed can’t be overlooked. Cici S.’33 scored 4 points while Adelaide S.’32 also scored 4 points in the game. Margaret M.’32 scored 2 points and Brooks R. ’33 played stellar defense getting two steals. 

 

ASH 5/6 Red vs. Willow 1/7/26 

The 5/6 Red team captured a huge victory over Willow with a final score of 30-10. Leading the Cardinals in scoring was Gigi L.’32 with a team 12 points. Three other players scored 4 points each Charli H. ’33, Georgia C.’32, and Mae Helen G.’32. Lola G.’33 and Abigail Y. ’33 also scored 2 points each. 

 

7/8 vs. Willow 1/7/26 

The 7/8 team dropped their contest against Willow with a final score of 18-9. KK D.’31 scored 4 points while Jane A. ’31 also scored 4 points. Hartley P.’31 chipped in a free throw while Rollins B.’30 grabbed two rebounds. This game was a tough one. There were many great shot opportunities that could have fallen to turn this contest around.  

 

7/8 vs. Newman 1/8/26 

The 7/8 team put in a valiant effort but fell short to the Newman Grennies with a final score of 37-15. KK. D.’31 led the Cardinals in scoring with 6 points. Nora L.’30 turned in 4 points and 4 rebounds. Ela G. ’31 and Hartley P. ’30 both scored 2 points each while rounding out the scoring was Estelle E. ’30 scoring from the free throw line.
