Cardinal Volleyball Update
Last week the JV and Varsity teams traveled to Hannan for tough matches. Both falling short.
Varsity (17-25, 24-26, 25-27) played some tough points. Ellie Habetz’26 led the team with 2 aces and 12 digs. Eleanore Lowe ’28 led with 12 kills while Ava Benefield ’29 finished with 8, Elizabeth Alford ’27 and Sarah Wanek ’28 finishing with 6 each. Elizabeth also had 2 blocks. Courtney Habetz ’27 finished with 8 digs and 22 assists. Caroline Balart ’27 had 12 assists.
Wednesday October 29 was a very special night as we celebrated Senior Night. Both JV and V won their matches in straight sets.
On Varsity, Caroline Barlart ’27 led the team with 5 aces followed by Ellie Habetz ’26 with 2. Ellie also led with 10 digs. Eleanor Erazo-Pierson’26 followed with 6 digs. Elizabeth Alford ’27 and Eleanor Lowe ’28 each had 8 kills, while Riley Ralston’26 finished with 7 and Olivia Monstead ’26 with 5. Caroline led with 19 assists and Courtney had 12.
Congrats to both teams and to the JV for finishing the season strong with a 15-4 record.
Varsity will start the playoffs this week. Please come out to support as they work their way to the State Championships in Lafayette starting next week.

Academy of the Sacred Heart celebrated the Feast of Mater Admirabilis on October 20, 2025, with an all-school Mass and live tableau. This year’s senior class chose Kate Cummings '25.
