Cardinals capture District Championship and celebrate senior class

Last week,  the Cardinal track and field team celebrated two major milestones: winning the District 10-3A Championship and honoring the 2026 senior class for their many contributions to the track and field program over the years. The Cardinals secured 1st place out of 10 teams with 146 points, with strong performances across multiple events:

400m Dash: Elle Fleming – 5th (1:06.36)

800m Run: Coco Varisco – 1st (2:33.50); Claire Donnelly – 2nd (2:33.85)

1600m Run: Leah Varisco – 1st (5:33.14); Angelina Wilmore – 2nd (5:48.22)

3200m Run: Leah Varisco – 1st (11:54.73); Olivia Truxillo – 2nd (12:58.81)

100m Hurdles: Jane Farnsworth – 2nd (17.52)

300m Hurdles: Campbell Smith – 3rd (53.16); Jane Farnsworth – 6th (56.21)

4x400m Relay: 1st (4:20.28)- Claire, Lily, Coco, and Reese

4x800m Relay: 1st (10:23.84)-Leah, Lily, Coco, and Claire

High Jump: Arabella Lara – 2nd (4-8); Kate Mogabgab – 3rd (4-6)

Long Jump: Kate Mogabgab – 3rd (13-8)

Discus: René Charles – 1st (78-10); Callie Langhetée  – 3rd (73-8)

Javelin: René Charles – 1st (90-0); Lucy Richmond – 2nd (90-0)

Shot Put: Callie Langhetée– 5th (22-9)

René Charles ’26 was also named the District 10-3A Field Event MVP.
