Cardinals Repeat as Regional Champions, Advance to State Meet
With a ticket to the State Championship waiting for those that finish in the Top 3 at the Regional Meet, the Cardinals focused on their events ahead of them. As the scores kept adding up for the athletes, it became apparent that the Cardinals had a great shot of repeating as the Regional Champs. Each athlete gave their best on this day and it paid off for those that ended their high school careers knowing that they tried their best. At the conclusion of the meet, 9 tickets had been punched to the State Meet, 7 Personal Best performances, 6 season Best marks, a total of 9 finishes that were either 1st or 2nd place and a team Championship against some very talented programs in our Region covering 4 different districts throughout the local area. The Cardinals will compete in the state track meet on Friday, May 8th at LSU. Go Cardinals!

Academy of the Sacred Heart has appointed Courtney Ward as Director of Athletics and Joseph Kepper as Associate Director of Athletics, effective July 1, 2026, following a comprehensive national search and community-driven interview process.

This year, 32 Sacred Heart students qualified for State Rally, 19 of whom placed in the top three in their respective subject areas. In addition, three students were awarded at the South Central District Rally in Visual Arts.
