Cardinals win Metro Golf Championship
The Sacred Heart Golf Team won the New Orleans Metro Golf Championship on Monday at Timberlane Golf Club. The Cardinals beat out 9 teams from all divisions to finish 1st overall. The Metro Champions dominated the field with all 5 golfers entered into the tournament earning All Metro Honors by finishing in the top 10. Jade Neves ’28 was crowned the All Metro Individual Champion by shooting a 2 under par 70. Jade played consistent golf the entire round to card an impressive under par score. Maddie Rudolph ’26 finished 2nd overall to earn the Metro Runner Up title by shooting a 3 over par 75. Maddie had a beautiful birdie on the 18th hole to finish the round. Emery Kane ’29 finished 3rd overall with a low score of 81. Emery also won closest to the hole on the Par 3 17th hole. Grace Gunn ’27 shot an 85 and CeCe Lavigne ’28 shot an 86 to finish in the top 10 team and earned All Metro Honors. The team will compete in the Regional Championships on April 28th at Santa Maria Golf Club.

Academy of the Sacred Heart has appointed Courtney Ward as Director of Athletics and Joseph Kepper as Associate Director of Athletics, effective July 1, 2026, following a comprehensive national search and community-driven interview process.

This year, 32 Sacred Heart students qualified for State Rally, 19 of whom placed in the top three in their respective subject areas. In addition, three students were awarded at the South Central District Rally in Visual Arts.
