Leah Varisco ’26 Reaches 1,000 Career Points in Cardinals’ Win Over Northshore
The Cardinal basketball team tipped off the holiday break with a strong 52–35 victory over Northshore High School.
Leah Varisco ’26 led the Cardinals with a game-high 21 points. With that performance, Leah reached a major milestone, scoring her 1,000th career point, a first in program history.
Libby Fitzpatrick ’26 added 16 points, while Rosie Varisco ’28 contributed eight points. Lily Varisco ’27 finished with seven points and a team-high eight rebounds, helping anchor the Cardinals’ effort on both ends of the floor.

The Cardinal Basketball team traveled to Washington, DC, over winter break to compete in the Sacred Heart Network Basketball Tournament, facing strong competition while building meaningful community with sister schools from across the country.

Academy of the Sacred Heart has earned PLATINUM recognition on the 2025 AP School Honor Roll.

Academy of the Sacred Heart celebrated the Feast of Mater Admirabilis on October 20, 2025, with an all-school Mass and live tableau. This year’s senior class chose Kate Cummings '25.
