Strong Week for Cardinal Basketball
The Cardinal basketball team captured two more wins last week against Cabrini High School and LB Landry. The team defeated the Crescents with the final score of 72-36 and the Buccaneers 72-32. Against Landry the Cardinals had four players in double figure scoring. Zoie Kelly ’29 led the scoring tally with 19 points, followed by Leah Varisco ’26 and Libby Fitzpatrick ’26 who both had 17. Rounding out the double figure scoring for the Cardinals was Olivia Gravolet ’28 with 10 points. Leah Varisco’26 led the Cardinals in scoring versus Cabrini with a team high 23 points. Closely following Leah in scoring was Libby Fitzpatrick ’26 with 21 points and capping off the top scoring performers in the contest was Zoie Kelly ’29 with 17 points.

The Cardinal Basketball team traveled to Washington, DC, over winter break to compete in the Sacred Heart Network Basketball Tournament, facing strong competition while building meaningful community with sister schools from across the country.
