Tennis closes regular season with 6 to 0 sweep and senior celebration
The Cardinal tennis team ended the regular season with a clean sweep of Country Day, dominating with a 6-0 team victory. The team showed depth across every line:
Emmeline Singer ’26: 6-1, 6-2
Becca Mogabgab ’29: 6-2, 6-4
Charlotte Jenkins ’27 and Elise Scafidel ’28: 6-0, 6-2
Georgia Dazet ’29 and Laine Suhren ’29: 6-0, 6-1
Zoe McCall ’28 and Elodie Scafidel ’26: 6-0, 6-1
Lilah Deynoodt ’26 and Ellie Habetz ’26: 6-1, 6-1
Prior to the match, the team celebrated four seniors: Elodie, Emmeline, Ellie, and Lilah. This class has built a lasting legacy for Sacred Heart tennis and set the standard for excellence, leadership, and teamwork for years to come. Co-captains Emmeline and Elodie have led the team all year with dedication and heart. Heading into regional and state competition, the team is thankful for their support and guidance. Let’s go, Cardinals!

Academy of the Sacred Heart has appointed Courtney Ward as Director of Athletics and Joseph Kepper as Associate Director of Athletics, effective July 1, 2026, following a comprehensive national search and community-driven interview process.

This year, 32 Sacred Heart students qualified for State Rally, 19 of whom placed in the top three in their respective subject areas. In addition, three students were awarded at the South Central District Rally in Visual Arts.
