Track and field takes first place in final regular season meet
On Wednesday, the Sacred Heart track team competed in their final regular season meet at St. Martin’s Episcopal. The team delivered outstanding performances, highlighted by numerous finishes that scored points for the team:
100 Meter Dash: Claire Donnelly – 5th Place (13.64)
400 Meter Dash: Reese Tennison – 2nd Place (1:05.26); Molly McConville – 3rd Place (1:17.30); Edith Naquin – 5th Place (1:24.67)
800 Meter Run: Claire Donnelly – 1st Place (2:37.42); Elle Fleming – 3rd Place (2:39.83)
1600 Meter Run: Leah Varisco – 2nd Place (5:33.11); Angelina Wilmore – 3rd Place (5:45.13); Olivia Truxillo – 4th Place (6:01.62)
100 Meter Hurdles: Jane Farnsworth – 1st Place (17.58); Campbell Smith – 3rd Place (19.99)
300 Meter Hurdles: Jane Farnsworth – 3rd Place (54.79)
4x200 Relay: Therese, Eleanor, Elle, & Meredith – 5th Place (1:56.24)
4x800 Relay: Coco, Leah, Lily, & Rosie – 1st Place (10:20.64)
High Jump: Kate Mogabgab – 5th Place (4-8)
Discus: Callie Langhetee – 1st Place (79-4); Mary Fitzpatrick – 4th Place (72-1)
Javelin: Rene Charles – 2nd Place (89-9); Lucy Richmond – 5th Place (77-6)
200 Meter Dash: Olivia Gravolet- 6th Place (32.40)
400 Meter Dash: Therese Carton-6th Place (1:10.12)
4x100 Meter Relay-Claire, Elle, Sloan & Meredith-6th Place (55.60)
Long Jump- Kate Mogabagab- 6th Place (13-9)
The Cardinals captured 1st place overall out of 12 teams. The team will return to action on Wednesday, April 22, at St. Martin’s Episcopal for the 3A District Track Meet. Go Cardinals!

Academy of the Sacred Heart has appointed Courtney Ward as Director of Athletics and Joseph Kepper as Associate Director of Athletics, effective July 1, 2026, following a comprehensive national search and community-driven interview process.

This year, 32 Sacred Heart students qualified for State Rally, 19 of whom placed in the top three in their respective subject areas. In addition, three students were awarded at the South Central District Rally in Visual Arts.
