Cardinals proved they’re a rising force on the court this season.
The Cardinal basketball team picked up two wins over the Thanksgiving holiday break. First the Cardinals took down The Willow school with a final score of 55-30. The team had 3 players in double figure scoring. Zoie Kelly ’29 was the leading scorer with 17 points and she grabbed 6 rebounds. Libby Fitzpatrick ’26 was the 2nd leading scorer with 15 points and turned in 7 rebounds while Leah Varisco ’26 turned in 13 points and a team high 5 assists. Rosie Varisco’28 turned in a team high 10 rebounds while scoring 8 points and Lily Varisco ’27 grabbed 8 rebounds and chipped in 2 points. The Cardinals then took on Ben Franklin, beating the Falcons 44-27. Libby Fitzpatrick ’26 and Leah Varisco ’26 both tallied 14 points each in the game. Zoie Kelly ’29 chimed in with 8 points and 5 assists while Rosie Varsico ’28 was the leading rebounder in this contest with a team high 7 rebounds.

The Cardinal Basketball team traveled to Washington, DC, over winter break to compete in the Sacred Heart Network Basketball Tournament, facing strong competition while building meaningful community with sister schools from across the country.

Academy of the Sacred Heart has earned PLATINUM recognition on the 2025 AP School Honor Roll.

Academy of the Sacred Heart celebrated the Feast of Mater Admirabilis on October 20, 2025, with an all-school Mass and live tableau. This year’s senior class chose Kate Cummings '25.
