What is the Sacred Heart Birthday Book Club?
Since 1983, the Sacred Heart Birthday Book Club has provided the opportunity to enhance our libraries by contributing fun and engaging books to commemorate ASH student birthdays. For $25 per dedication, the student's name will be placed as a dedication on the inside of a new book for your student and future students to enjoy.
Birthday Book Club Ideas
When donating a birthday book, you may also list the student's special interest, favorite genre, favorite series, or favorite author/illustrator. Some examples include:
- picture books about animals or picture books about a specific animal (ie., horses, dogs, dinosaurs)
- books by favorite authors such as Kate DiCamillo, Mo Willems, Rosemary Wells, etc.
- chapter books about historical places, world travels, or epic adventures
- graphic novels
- fiction or nonfiction
- young adult stories that challenge readers' thinking or expose them to new culture across the globe
