Olivia McGoey '21: (Vanderbilt University)
How long have you attended Sacred Heart?
I have been at ASH for 16 years.
What are your future plans for college and beyond?
I will be attending Vanderbilt University and plan on majoring in International Studies with a minor in business.
What is your favorite Sacred Heart memory?
There are too many to choose from: from our junior year Roaring Twenties Prom and our senior year Pitbull-themed Mardi Gras parade, to the many bus rides with the soccer team. And of course, our Natchitoches adventures with the Cross Country team – I am grateful for them all.
What would you like to say to your younger ASH sisterhood?
Cherish your time at ASH, it really does fly by. Try to get to know all of your classmates because your grade truly does become a second family. Strive to be the best version of yourself and don’t forget to uplift others along the way. Finally, appreciate ASH – the classmates, the faculty, the traditions, everything.
What will you miss about Sacred Heart?
I will miss the tight knit community most. I love that I can approach any one of my classmates or teachers with comfort and ease, and I feel so fortunate to have spent 16 years surrounded by the familiar, inclusive, and close community that ASH has cultivated.
