We look forward to reviewing your application for admission to begin your Sacred Heart journey. We welcome any questions you may have about the process.
In accordance with the schedule of dates set by ISAS (Independent Schools of the Southwest) and the Archdiocese of New Orleans, Academy of the Sacred Heart will begin to notify applicants as listed below.
Applications must be submitted by December 8, 2025* to receive Notification by the below dates:

HOW TO APPLY:
A Parent/Guardian should choose your division below to complete and return the application form with fee.
Little Hearts (1-3 Year Olds)
Application Requirements:
Incoming Little Hearts students must have their birthday by August 31 of their school year. For example, a girl must turn 1 years of age by August 31 to enter the Little Hearts 1 program.
- Complete the online Little Hearts application below with $50 non-refundable fee
- Attend a tour of the Academy of the Sacred Heart
- Applicants will be notified of the Play Day date/time once their application has been received
PreK & Kindergarten
Application Requirements:
Children must be 4 years old by August 31 to enter PreK, and 5 by August 31 for Kindergarten.
- Complete the online application below with $100 non-refundable fee (this includes the application and Developmental Screening scheduled by Sacred Heart)
- Attend a tour of Academy of the Sacred Heart
- Complete an in-house screening and participation in a classroom visit
- Applicants will be notified of the screening classroom visit date once their application has been received
Lower School (Grades 1-4)
Application Requirements:
- Complete the online application below with $50 non-refundable fee (this includes the application and Developmental Screening scheduled by Sacred Heart)
- Attend a tour of Academy of the Sacred Heart
- Complete a screening for admissions. 1st grade, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Grade screenings are conducted by Academy of the Sacred Heart on applicant's visit day.
Middle School (Grades 5-8)
Application Requirements:
- Complete the online application with $50 non-refundable fee
- Attend a tour of Academy of the Sacred Heart
- Attend a Spend a Day
- Grades 7 & 8, complete the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) for admission and placement purposes. Dates of testing will be provided once an application is received. There is a fee to be paid by applicant when completing the online registration form for ISEE testing here >
- Please use code 191985 when registering for ISEE test
- Archdiocese 8th grade applicants will take the ISEE on Saturday, January 10, 2026
- If the applicant is a current student at another ISAS school, they DO NOT Have to take the ISEE
Upper School (Grades 9-12)
Application Requirements:
- Complete the online application with $50 non-refundable fee
- Attend a tour of the Academy of the Sacred Heart
- Attend a Spend a Day
