We look forward to reviewing your application for admission to begin your Sacred Heart journey. We welcome any questions you may have about the process.
In accordance with the schedule of dates set by ISAS (Independent Schools of the Southwest) and the Archdiocese of New Orleans, Academy of the Sacred Heart will begin to notify applicants as listed below.
Applications must be submitted by December 11, 2026* to receive Notification by the below dates:

| 8th Grade (Archdiocese schedule) on: | Friday, February 26, 2027 |
HOW TO APPLY:

Little Hearts (1-3 Year Olds)
Application Requirements:
- Applicants must be age 1 by August 31 for Little Hearts 1
- Applicants must be age 2 by August 31 for Little Hearts 2
- Applicants must be age 3 by August 31 for Little Hearts 3
- Complete the online Little Hearts application below with $75 non-refundable fee
- Attend a tour of the Academy of the Sacred Heart
- *Attend a Play Day at school
- *For Little Hearts 2 & 3s, a speech-language, hearing and school readiness screening is required

PreK & Kindergarten
Application Requirements:
- Applicants must be 4 years old by August 31 to enter Prekindergarten
- Applicants must be 5 years old by August 31 to enter Kindergarten
- Complete the online application below with $75 non-refundable fee (this includes the application and Developmental Screening scheduled by Sacred Heart)
- Attend a tour of Academy of the Sacred Heart
- *Student attends a Class Visit at school where the Developmental screening will take place

Lower School (Grades 1-4)
Application Requirements:
- Complete the online application below with $75 non-refundable fee (this includes the application and Developmental Screening scheduled by Sacred Heart)
- Attend a tour of Academy of the Sacred Heart
- *Student attends a Spend A Day at school where the Developmental screening will take place

Middle School (Grades 5-8)
Application Requirements:
- Complete the online application with $75 non-refundable fee
- Attend a tour of Academy of the Sacred Heart
- Attend a Middle School Spend a Day (Grades 5 & 6 Spend A Days must be a current applicant)
- Grades 7 & 8, complete the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). Dates of testing will be provided once an application is received. Please call the Admission office prior to registering for the ISEE test. ISEE testing here >
- Please use code 191985 when registering for ISEE test
- Archdiocese 8th grade applicants will take the ISEE on Saturday, January 9 2027
- If the applicant is a current student at another ISAS school, they DO NOT have to take the ISEE

Upper School (Grades 9-12)
Application Requirements:
- Complete the online application with $75 non-refundable fee
- Attend a tour of the Academy of the Sacred Heart
- Attend a Upper School Spend A Day
- Grades 9-12, complete the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). Dates of testing will be provided once an application is received. Please call the Admission office prior to registering for the ISEE test. ISEE testing here >
