Student Orientation Day:

All Upper School students will report to school for orientation. Students will receive important information regarding changes to the handbook and lockers and attend an abbreviated schedule of all seven classes in the afternoon.

First Full Day of Classes:

All Upper School students will report to school for their first full day of classes. First Bell is at 7:55am. It is an A/B day.

What is the arrival time on regular days?
Students may arrive beginning at 7:20am, and we ask all students to be on the third floor by 7:55am. The first bell rings at 7:55am. At 7:20am, faculty members will be under the bridge. We have two drop off lines, 5th Grade, 6th Grade and mixed grade drop off/pick up line is on the gym side of Carondelet under the bridge. The 7th and 8th Grade drop off/pick up line is on the main building side under the bridge. No student may enter the gate near the guard shack or the building prior to 7:20am. At 7:55am that door is closed and remains locked for the day. For security purposes, during school hours the only entrance to the school is through the front gate on St. Charles Avenue.

Preschool & Lower School Times*:

Morning Carpool begins at 7:15am and ends at 8:00am daily. Students must be checked-in if arriving after 8:00am.

*All students should be in the classroom no later than 8:01am.

Afternoon Carpool begins at 3:20pm and ends at 3:45pm daily.

Little Heart Times:

Morning Arrival in the Nims begins at 7:15am. Morning Carpool begins at 7:30am and ends at 8:00am daily. 

Afternoon Carpool begins at 3:00pm and ends at 3:15pm daily.

We’re excited to welcome athletes to try out for the Academy of the Sacred Heart Volleyball Teams! Next season, we will have two teams—Junior Varsity and Varsity—giving you the opportunity to showcase your skills and be part of the volleyball program.

Physicals at ASH

Location: Upstairs Track in the Rosary Gym (4501 Carondelet St.)

Cost: FREE (for all students participating in High School Athletics)

Note: Parents, please print this medical form. Then sign and date the form before your daughter comes to the physical. 

In order to meet Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) eligibility requirements, it is mandatory for all students participating in Co-Curricular Athletics to have a LHSAA Medical History Evaluation and Physical Form completed and signed by a licensed Physician or Nurse Practitioner. To simplify this process, the Academy of the Sacred Heart Athletic Department and Tulane Institute of Sports Medicine will be offering a comprehensive physical/orthopedic screening on campus for all students. The physical will include a general medical evaluation by a Tulane Institute of Sports Medicine doctor of family medicine and an orthopedic assessment/evaluation by an orthopedic at the Tulane Institute of Sports Medicine. During the 2026–2027 school year, the Tulane Institute of Sports Medicine will be available, as needed, for consultation, evaluation and treatment of any injured student/athlete. The availability of these orthopedics allows the Academy of the Sacred Heart to offer a comprehensive sports medicine program to ensure the safety and health of all ASH student/athletes.

This is a great opportunity for any athletes to get the proper medical form filled out and it will be completed before the summer. Anyone that needs camp physicals to be completed is also welcome to come. There will be an orthopedist on site to sign off on these physicals. 

ALL ATHLETES must have an up-to-date physical prior to participation in a sport. The LHSAA requires a specific form that must be used for the physical for all 7th-12th grade JV and Varsity athletes.

Upper School Soccer Interest Meeting

Upper School soccer interest meeting is open to ALL rising 9th through 12th graders including those who will be transferring into Sacred Heart. The Varsity Soccer Program will be hosting an informational session to any families who might be interested in having their daughter join the Sacred Heart soccer team. Last year we fielded a Varsity and Junior Varsity team, and our coaches are hopeful to do the same against next year.
