Shannon '20: on Favorite Experiences

What was your favorite subject or experience at ASH?
I love the sciences, specifically anatomy and physiology. Medicine and working with the human body has always fascinated me. In anatomy, I got to learn how all of the systems of the body come together to make one, unified human.

What have you learned about yourself during this "shelter in place" time in history?
Distant learning has been hard to get used to. Being in class at my kitchen table by myself is something that took time for me to get used to, but after a couple of weeks, it’s my new normal. I have learned that I need to be outside. I have gone to summer camp for a long time so I knew I loved being outside, but I never knew how much I needed it to keep me sane during these very difficult times.

What is your favorite Sacred Heart memory?
My favorite ASH memory is winning sophomore year Rally dance. We had worked so hard and really came together as a grade that year. Not only did we win dance that year, but we continued to win dance all the way through senior year.

What message do you have for the rest of your younger Sacred Heart sisters?
Cherish the moments with your grade because these are the last years that everyone will be together. You never think that your time will end at Sacred Heart, but it does, and the end comes fast. Make the most of it and don’t take anything for granted.
