Sacred Heart represents home for me in so many ways. Having moved away from New Orleans after graduating and living far from friends and family, Sacred Heart has become a symbol of everything I love and appreciate most in life—a strong education, loving family, lifelong friends, and a vibrant city. Sacred Heart, for me, is more than a school. It's my foundation.
A Sacred Heart education is about educating the whole young woman through first-rate academics, deep personal growth, and a strong sense of community. These were the building blocks I used to dive deeper into a STEM profession, adapt to the demands of various jobs, grow a diverse network of colleagues, and pursue a career in art. My Sacred Heart education has given me the skills to navigate the professional world with confidence and build a career true to my beliefs and passions.
As mentioned, Sacred Heart nurtures the whole woman, and because of that, I graduated Sacred Heart with an unwavering opinion of my self-worth and abilities as a woman. In a world that would love to tell women otherwise, I'm so grateful I can fall back on the values I learned at Sacred Heart to push change for the better.

Academy of the Sacred Heart has appointed Courtney Ward as Director of Athletics and Joseph Kepper as Associate Director of Athletics, effective July 1, 2026, following a comprehensive national search and community-driven interview process.
