Coco Ellis Howe ‘12: on Confidence
Sacred Heart education taught me to be a pioneer. At Sacred Heart, we are taught to be leaders and to "change the world." As a software engineer, I have always been the only female on my team. Because of the educational values instilled in me at ASH, I am able to navigate my profession confidently and hope to pave the way for other females interested in software development.
Also, the ASH network is unlike any other. My boss is actually a Sacred Heart father!
The sense of community at Sacred Heart is so special. My classmates and I continue to stay in touch, and I talk to my best friends from Sacred Heart daily. I believe the bond that's created between students at Sacred Heart is unbreakable. My mom just returned from an annual beach trip with her ASH friends, and my grandmother plays bridge with her friends from Sacred Heart on a weekly basis.

Academy of the Sacred Heart has appointed Courtney Ward as Director of Athletics and Joseph Kepper as Associate Director of Athletics, effective July 1, 2026, following a comprehensive national search and community-driven interview process.
