What does Sacred Heart mean to you?

I felt prepared to approach college and beyond with the foundation that Sacred Heart provided … an atmosphere that supports and empowers girls to pursue future educational and career goals. Small classes allowed for personal attention from teachers and encouraged the formation of lifelong relationships with classmates. Rally, class trips, school sports, and unique ASH traditions also helped to foster these friendships. Sacred Heart instilled the importance of being an active and charitable member in both local and global communities.
 
What was your favorite class, sport, teacher, club or other activity that really influenced you?

My favorite class was Spanish IV junior year, which focused on the cultures of various Spanish speaking countries around the world through history, art, and music.  This class helped me to understand the importance of learning a second language as a citizen of this globe and an interest in exploring other cultures through international travel.
 
What is one of your favorite memories or traditions at Sacred Heart? 

Favorite memory – learning about volcanoes and whales with Mr. C in 1st grade  
 
Which goal speaks to you most and why?

Goal 3: a social awareness which impels to action. As an educated person, I feel that it is imperative to be an informed and active citizen here in New Orleans and beyond, and as a nurse, I am able to directly be of service to the ill and/or less fortunate.
