Though we are thrilled to be able to host our 2021 Alumnae Weekend in person, we know that many of our alumnae will join us in celebrating from afar! Like last year, we will celebrate this year’s honor classes as we count down to reunion weekend!
We continue our countdown with a spotlight on the Sacred Heart graduates of 1991, who are celebrating their 30th reunion!
ASH Flashback to 1991:
The Class of 1991 dedicated their yearbook to Peggy Demarest and selected Liz Danneman as Mater.
For their senior Congé, they put on "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs."
In their own words, from the 1991 Senior Story:
“We all have fond memories of Kindergarten and Pre-Primary, but the real action didn’t start until Lower School. Our obsessions then included scratch and sniff sticker collections, Snoopy and Belle, and Strawberry Shortcake.”
“Senior year rushed in with Mrs. Trosclair at its heels. By the end of orientation, we all knew and feared that only death could save us from giving the long dreaded senior speech. WE would not only be expected to be punctual with our orations, but informative as well. Who can do all this on a Friday morning?”
“We instantly claimed our new turf – the senior locker room. We never did install a fridge or a microwave, but we did have a designated food locker provided by Kelly G. It was constantly stocked with nutritional snacks like “Easy Cheese” and Oreos.”
“Finally, it was graduation week. Mr. LaFrance gave an outstanding speech at Baccalaureate Mass that brought tears to our eyes. For the rest of the week, we prayed that it would stop raining long enough for graduation. Prize Day passed swiftly – we were in shock that it was now actually us up front in our long white dresses. Miraculously, the clouds parted by that night and the weather was gorgeous for graduation. Everyone looked so perfect in their long dresses that some vowed to have all 50 of us as their bridesmaids.”
“Be excellent to each other, and PARTY ON DUDE…”
