Though we are thrilled to be able to host our 2021 Alumnae Weekend in person, we know that many of our alumnae will join us in celebrating from afar! Like last year, we will celebrate this year’s honor classes as we count down to reunion weekend!

We continue our countdown with a spotlight on the Sacred Heart graduates of 2006, who are celebrating their 15th reunion!

ASH Flashback to 2006: 

This year was the "Katrina Class," that evacuated New Orleans during the fall of their senior year. As such, the theme of their senior yearbook was Rebuilding with Heart. This yearbook was dedicated to Sr. Lynne Lieux.

Corrie Duplantier was chosen to portray Mater this year, Coco Fraiche was Valedictorian, and Allie King was Salutatorian. Their senior play was "The Wizard of ASH."

Coco quoted Maya Angelou in her valedictory address that perfectly summed up the class of 2006’s senior year: “You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it.” 

This class didn't have a senior story in the yearbook, but they'll all remember a few select memories from the Remember When Section… 

Remember when…
…four-square tournaments at recess were really intense?
…beanie babies were a big deal? 
…Lauren Millet got stuck in a desk in Mr. Mitchell’s room, and Mr. Les had to come rescue her?
…we used to have sock hop parties in Mrs. Heidel’s room at break?
…it rained on our graduation and we all shared the stomach virus?
