To begin graduation week festivities, the senior class gathered with family for a Baccalaureate Mass on May 27, which was celebrated by Fr. Frank Reale, S.J. Following Mass, Headmistress Sr. Melanie Guste, RSCJ, introduced alumna guest speaker Liz Baldwin Hefler '99 (Senior Vice President, Middle Market Banking at Hancock Whitney Bank), who offered the Class of 2019 words of wisdom.

Liz Baldwin Hefler graduated from the Academy of the Sacred Heart in 1999 and the University of Virginia with a B.A. in Economics in 2003. After college, she moved back to New Orleans and began working for Hancock Whitney, where she has worked for 15 years on their corporate and middle market banking team. She is a past member of the Finance Committee and current member of the Institutional Advancement Committee at Sacred Heart and has been a member of the Future Founders alumnae giving circle. Hefler also serves as a board member for the New Orleans Board of Trade and Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse; treasurer for the Louisiana Museum Foundation; and Finance Committee member for Daughters of Charity.
