The Sacred Heart Cardinals
Home of 102 State & Runner-up Titles!
We encourage athletic participation in all of our students, regardless of ability. Competing at any level, fosters the development of leadership, sportsmanship, confidence, teamwork, time management and a healthy lifestyle.
–Sue Bower, Athletics Director
Every girl can be a leader. Every leader can be a champion.
The athletic program is an integral component of the student athlete's overall experience at Academy of the Sacred Heart. We strive to give our girls a wide variety of athletic experiences to all athletes while also offering opportunities for each young woman and each team to make positive progress and reach a high level of success.
Being a Sacred Heart athlete also carries with it responsibilities to the school, to the sport, to the student body and to the student athlete.
Student athletes are given the opportunity to develop:
- self management
- leadership skills
- self esteem
- team work
- sportsmanship
- overall fitness
Want to play for college?
Many student athletes would like to continue to pursue their athletic careers in college. This requires a coordinated effort between the athlete, her family and the school.
The pursuit of play at the next level: A first step is to consult the 'Guide for the College Bound Athlete' available on the NCAA Clearinghouse website (eligibilitycenter.org). Students may also receive further info from our coaches and our Athletics Director:
