Swimming 10.1.25

What an incredible showing for Sacred Heart swimmers at the St. Martin’s Episcopal Meet on Tuesday! The Cardinals took on Destrehan, Dominican, First Baptist Christian, Louise McGehee, and Haynes Academy. The competition was fierce, but our Cardinals rose to the challenge and finished strong in third place overall.

The highlight of the day came in the relays, where Sacred Heart dominated with two exciting second-place finishes:

·        200 Medley Relay – Coco Rudolph ’29, Therese C. ’29, Teresa Casseri ’28, and Elle Cummings ’29

·        200 Freestyle Relay – Coco Rudolph ’29, Elodie Scafidel ’26, Natalie D.’ 27, and Teresa Casseri ’28

Individually, Teresa Casseri ’28, brought home a second-place medal in the 100 Breaststroke.

Several swimmers achieved State Championship qualifying times:

·        Coco Rudolph ’29 – 200 Freestyle

·        Natalie D. ’27 – 200 Individual Medley, 100 Breaststroke

·        Therese C. ’29 – 200 Individual Medley

·        Elodie Scafidel ’26 – 50 Freestyle

·        Teresa Casseri ’28 – 100 Freestyle, 100 Breaststroke

·        Elle Cummings ’29 – 100 Backstroke

Many Cardinals also celebrated new personal bests:

·        Therese C. ’29 – 200 Individual Medley

·        Brigitte D.’ 31 – 50 Freestyle, 100 Breaststroke

·        Natalie D.’27 – 200 Individual Medley

·        Kate T. ’27 – 50 Freestyle, 100 Freestyle

·        Isabel St. ’J 31 – 100 Backstroke

It was a day filled with heart, grit, and excitement! Congratulations to every Sacred Heart swimmer for your determination, teamwork, and spirit. You continue to inspire us and make us so proud; keep it up!
