Welcome Sacred Heart Dads!
My name is Tim Brennan and it is my pleasure to serve you as your Fathers Club President for the 2019-2020 school year. There is an old saying that “it takes a village to raise a child” and the Sacred Heart Community is a wonderful village. As a father of a Sacred Heart girl, you are already a member of the community. But I ask you to do more. Become involved and help make a difference in this community by becoming an active member of the Fathers Club.
The Fathers Club is a group of dads who believe we can make a difference in our daughters lives by being engaged in the Sacred Heart Community. We organize and sponsor numerous events throughout the year to bring fathers and daughters together and help support school activities.
Whether it is welcoming the lower school at Dads on Duty, cooking at Congé, playing golf at the annual golf tournament, eating pancakes at the Lower School pancake breakfast, volunteering in the Mardi Gras Trailer or simply enjoying some good food and libations at our Fathers Club meetings, there is something for everyone and everyone is welcome.
Through our efforts we seek to improve the lives of our daughters and promote Sacred Heart’s long traditions of faith, leadership and service. We are proud of our girls and want to build a community that fosters these principals. In addition, we raise funds through our Mardi Gras Concessions and our annual Golf Tournament which we contribute directly to the school to promote technological innovation, creative thinking and academic excellence in the classroom.
As an active participant in the Fathers' Club for the last few years I have built some great friendships and experienced outstanding camaraderie. But more importantly, I know that my participation has influenced my daughter in a positive way and helped improve our school community.
I look forward to seeing all of you at our first meeting that will be held on September 11, 2019 in the Rosary Campus Dining Hall at 5:30. In the meantime, enjoy the rest of your summer!
Your Fathers' Club President
