Honoring the Class of 2016
Communications

Though we are thrilled to be able to host our 2021 Alumnae Weekend in person, we know that many of our alumnae will join us in celebrating from afar! Like last year, we will celebrate this year’s honor classes as we count down to reunion weekend!

We conclude our countdown with a spotlight on the Sacred Heart graduates of 2016, who are celebrating their 5th reunion!

2016 seniors

ASH Flashback to 2016:

These seniors dedicated their yearbook to Kitty Mattesky and selected Shea Duckworth as Mater.

2016 highlights

In their own words, from their senior story, these students recalled their years at the Rosary:

Countdown to Graduation…
T-15 Years to Graduation:
Our story begins on August 20, 2001 in smocked dresses. We sat in St. Joseph’s Hall whether it was for French Class with bon bons, PE when we tucked our smocks into our bloomers, tumbling class, assembly, and carpool. Split between Mrs. Erin and Mrs. Brundige, and Mrs. Berner and Mrs. Dickhaus, these ASH gals met Rosie and Posie in between lessons of primary colors and ladybug facts.

T-12 Years to Graduation:
Soon into first grade, we learned that we would be leaving this campus behind. Making the most of our four square games, blistered hands, and rock filled shoes, the Class of 2016 learned the importance of Mad Minutes, responsibility of guinea pigs, and grass skirts to finish the year at the Luau.

T-8 Years to Graduation:
From dye books to crocheting bags, 5th grade was the start with our skirts and New Balances. Our dreams came true when we rode on Space Mountain with the lights on and watched acorns float as we fell down the Tower of Terror. The ghost of 5th grade past, present and future appeared when performed Scrooge in Rosary Hall. Luckily though, we never ended up in the dog house because all we did was bibet bibet bibet and sedet sedet sedet with Caecilius.

T-4 Years to Graduation:
Our high school careers began when we received our most prized possessions: HP Elite Book 2760 P’s with blocked webcams and limited internet capabilities. We made our debut to the high school when we danced to Gangnum style, Single Ladies, High School Musical, and more during Freshman Welcome Week. Our first Rally experience involved a tiny banner, a lot of dubstep, and highlighter shirts, but at least we weren’t clownfish. Don’t forget, we were the first class to invent the lift in a Rally dance. Promising ourselves that next year would be different, we brushed off our losses by diving into a great Freshman Retreat, our first high school exams, and learning the meaning of a GPA.

2016 memories

T-1 Year to Graduation:
And now it’s here – graduation. Forty-six girls in white dresses walked through the courtyard to be with each other for one last time. Our time at ASH has been exceptionally great but we’re headed into our next era. It is not that our countdown is over, but that the next has just begun.
