The Alumnae Association is thrilled to honor Kendall Goodier Hales '92 as the 2022 Alumna of the Year. Kendall's love and devotion to Sacred Heart through her many volunteer roles at the school including as a member of the Board of Trustees and the Booster Club and auction chair, makes her an ideal role model for giving back.

When asked what Sacred Heart means to her, Kendall shared, "Sacred Heart really means family to me. Not just the five generations of my family who have attended ASH but also my closest friends who graduated from Sacred Heart with me and are truly my second family. It has been especially rewarding to share Sacred Heart’s many traditions with my own daughters."

In addition to her formal volunteer roles, Kendall never hesitates to answer the Alumnae Office call to help give back to the students through sharing her journey with students.

Her favorite Sacred Heart memory is "Walking both of my children through the gates of Sacred Heart in their smocks on their first day of school and then recently watching my oldest daughter graduate around the same fountain that I did is pretty high up there on my list. I would have to say my favorite memory, though, of my 16 years at Sacred Heart would be winning the state volleyball championship my senior year. I played years of club and college volleyball but there was nothing as special as winning the championship with the girls I grew up with."
