Academy of the Sacred Heart is thrilled to announce the induction of the 2024 Athletic Hall of Fame class, recognizing outstanding athletes and teams whose exceptional achievements have significantly contributed to the school’s storied athletic legacy.
The ceremony took place on October 16, 2024, at the Sacred Heart Rosary Campus Gym.
This year’s inductees include:
2007 Cross Country Team
Under the leadership of Head Coach Greg Caro and Assistant Coach Jenny Caro, the 2007 Cross Country Team made history by being the only team in school history to be ranked #1 across all divisions. They achieved remarkable success with an average time of 19:24 minutes for their top five athletes and earned District, Metro, Northshore, and State Championships.

INDIVIDUALS:
Sara Fogleman Heim
A decorated multi-sport athlete, Sara excelled in Volleyball, Soccer, and Track & Field. She played an integral role in winning state championships in Volleyball (2004, 2005, 2006) and Soccer (2005, 2006, 2007) and set multiple school records in Track & Field. She currently resides in Hillsborough, NC.
Suzanne Haydel Dyer
A key player in the Volleyball program, Suzanne led the team to four state titles and earned multiple accolades, including being named Louisiana Player of the Year. After an impressive high school career, she played collegiate Volleyball at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Celeste Laborde McNulty
An accomplished athlete in both Volleyball and Softball, Celeste helped lead the Volleyball team to the LHSAA State Championship in 2000 and earned several tournament MVP honors throughout her career. She later played at the University of Virginia on a full scholarship.
Nikki Bonilla Dragone
A versatile athlete, Nikki was instrumental in leading the Volleyball team to two state championships and the Soccer team to the first state championship in school history in 1996. She played Division I Soccer at the University of Richmond and has dedicated 18 years to coaching.
Juli Hartley
A highly respected coach, Juli Hartley led the Volleyball team to numerous victories, including four consecutive state titles from 1994 to 1997, and earned recognition as Coach of the Year multiple times.
Caroline Brinson Brewer
Caroline Brewer made a historic impact on the tennis courts during her time at Sacred Heart, winning five consecutive LHSAA singles State Championships and leading the team to four Team State Championships. Named a National High School All-American in 2013, she earned numerous accolades, including Louisiana Junior Tennis Sportsperson of the Year and TennisRecruiting.com's #18 overall recruit in the country. Caroline went on to play collegiate tennis at the University of Georgia.
The ceremony will honor these individuals for their dedication, talent, and contributions to Academy of the Sacred Heart’s athletic program. Their legacies inspire current and future generations of student-athletes to pursue excellence in sports and academics.
