On a dry and somewhat cooler day in Hammond than the past few weeks, the Cross Country team put together another great display of pack running by placing the Top 8 runners in the top 29 finishers and the 13 runners in the top 57 out of 128 total runners. With the familiar 3 mile course before them, each runner knew that it was time to trust their training and previous knowledge of the route to position themselves well for the final 3 weeks of the season. The team set a goal of being the best that they could throughout the season and in the postseason, trying to recapture a team trophy at season's end, whether a State Title or State Runner Up Title is in the cards, only time will tell. But what is certain is that this team is focused on putting their best foot forward each day at practice and in races to make sure they are giving themselves the best chance to do so. The team performed very well and came home with another 1st place trophy for their efforts. There were 128 total runners in the race and the following are the Top 7 finishers for the team:
