The Metro Championships consist of the best golfers and teams in the Metro Area. Cassidy was in the first group to tee off in the nine hole match. She was paired with two of the top golfers in the state.

Cassidy busted her drive down the first fairway and hit a beautiful approach shot onto green with a 4 iron from 190 yards out. She then 2 putted for a par on the first hole. She continued hitting fairways and greens to score a birdie on the second hole and a par on the 3rd. She took a one stroke lead in her group heading into hole five.

When she approached the 9th she had a two shot lead over the field, but she scored a bogey on the hole. Her playing partner had a putt for par to tie the score but missed and also scored a bogey. This would put Cassidy in the lead and ahead of the field to take home the title of Metro Champion.

Cassidy shot a 38 over nine holes to win her first golf match of the season. Congratulations, Cassidy!
