Middle School students create wigs for children battling cancer
Communications

As part of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, Middle School students at Sacred Heart teamed up with The Magic Yarn Project, a nonprofit whose mission is to bring magic into the lives of children battling cancer and to inspire volunteerism that makes a difference. Students attended a workshop and made wigs inspired by Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean and Moana as a way to bring a smile to children with cancer, whose scalps are often too sensitive after chemotherapy for traditional wigs. To date, 10,400 wigs have been made and delivered to children around the world through The Magic Yarn Project.
