Sacred Heart Glass Drive Partners with Glass Half Full
The community support for the recent January ASH Glass Drive with partner Glass Half Full didn't disappoint!
We beat the goal we set and the glass collected will be converted to sand used to slow down the process of our coastal erosion.
Glass Half Full is the only glass recycle center in the state of Louisiana. Sacred Heart will host another community glass drive in the Spring for Earth Day so continue to save your glass items at your homes.
Collected this amount of glass kept out of our landfills:
- 2021: 1950 lbs.
- 2022: 2750 lbs.
Students, parents, and community members of all ages participated. We're so proud of our ASH community! This is a huge part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability at the school. Let's beat our goal again in the spring!
