Communications

The Academy of the Sacred Heart recently launched a major renovation to its Mater Campus located at 4301 St. Charles Avenue. This approximately 100,000 square foot complex is located at the corner of General Pershing Street and St. Charles Avenue, and features educational spaces tailored to students from age one to fourth grade as well as the Nims Fine Arts Center, a multi-purpose performance center which can accommodate the entire school community.

The transformation of the Mater Campus includes the construction of a new entrance vestibule, a new plaza featuring an outdoor learning space and the renovation of the Nims Fine Arts Center. The construction process began on June 3, and the estimated completion date is near the end of this year.

"This campus transformation is driven by the goals of our five-year Strategic Plan, "Inspiring Faith-Filled Women of Courage and Confidence," said Headmistress Sr. Melanie Guste, RSCJ. "Through this plan we commit to providing our students an environment of academic rigor and innovation; leveraging, expanding and creating local and global connections; and ensuring the sustainability of our Sacred Heart education for generations to come. As passionate educators, together with the generous support of several lead donors, we continually seek ways in which to enhance and reimagine our learning environments, in order to inspire and prepare our graduates to make a difference in the world."
