Caroline Evans named Valedictorian of the Class of 2021

Sacred Heart is proud to announce that Caroline Anne Evans is the valedictorian for the Class of 2021. Throughout her 16 years at the Academy of the Sacred Heart, she has been recognized with multiple honors for her impressive academic performance, student leadership and sportsmanship.

During her senior year, Caroline was elected as Senior Class President, served as President of the National Honor Society chapter at the Academy of the Sacred Heart, and as co-captain of Varsity Quiz Bowl. Caroline was recognized as a National Merit Finalist, an AP Scholar with Honors, and was nominated by faculty members to serve on the Upper School Honor Council. She was also honored with the Peggy D. Sarpy and Margaret D. Ramsey Scholarship and Distinguished Scholars Award.

Caroline is a talented track and soccer player who served as co-captain of the Varsity Soccer Team during her senior year. She founded a sports uniform drive for needy children, Play It Forward For Nicaragua, in collaboration with Amigos for Christ. Caroline was also chosen as one of the inaugural members of the Très Bien Society, which was established to recognize students who are role models for the Sacred Heart community.  

Caroline is the daughter of Joelle and Byron Evans of Metairie. She will attend Washington and Lee University as the recipient of the Joseph Merrick Jones, Jr. Honor Scholarship.
