The Class of 2021 Senior Ring Celebration took place at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis King of France on October 14, 2021. The traditional Ring Mass, which takes place during the spring of a student’s junior year in the Rosary Chapel, had been postponed from its scheduled date earlier in the year due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting limitations on large events. Within the current guidelines and the generous accommodations afforded by St. Louis Cathedral, Sacred Heart was able to celebrate this special occasion with seniors and their parents.

Sr. Guste opened the celebration with a welcome and call to worship, sharing the importance of her own Sacred Heart ring throughout her life and encouraging the senior class to look to their rings to remind them of their Sacred Heart values and mission. The Mass was presided by Fr. Justin Daffron, SJ, who blessed each of the seniors' rings. Following the liturgy, Upper School Division Head Julie Boyd presented each member of the Class of 2021. Each senior processed to the front of the cathedral with her parents, received a white rose and had her ring turned by her parents as part of the senior ring ceremony tradition.

Note: the artwork above, which was featured on the cover of the program, was drawn by Senior Haydée Dennard. Thank you, Haydée, for creating and sharing this beautiful image of the Class of 2021 ring.

Congratulations to the Class of 2021 on this special milestone!
