As part of Sacred Heart's Career Education initiative, the school's Alumnae Office and Counseling Department partner to host opportunities for students to meet face to face with alumnae who represent professional fields that interest our students.
In February, five Sacred Heart alumnae who represent business leadership in the fields of healthcare, retail, law, tax and accounting participated in an industry roundtable discussion with a group of Upper School students.
The alumnae shared their paths to their current careers, advice on shadowing professionals in all fields, lessons learned on selecting a major and continuous learning once on the job. Our alumnae also shared their experience balancing priorities in both their professional and personal lives, the evolving practices of flex-time and maternity leave, and finding one's own individual sense of work-life balance and satisfaction.
