The Academy of the Sacred Heart is proud to announce three members of the Class of 2023 have been named as National Merit Finalists in the 68th annual National Merit Scholarship Program.  

Congratulations to our National Merit Finalists: Melanie ‘Lanie’ DeMarcay, daughter of Lorie and Lawrence DeMarcay; Isabelle Moore, daughter of Leslie and Jonah Moore; and Anna Watson, daughter of Gosia and Kevin Watson. 

Melanie, Isabelle, and Anna are among the approximately 15,000 students (representing less than 1% of high school seniors) across the country who will now have the opportunity to continue in the competition for National Merit Scholarship Awards (over 7,000 scholarships worth nearly $30 million) that will be offered this spring. 

Finalists from each state are selected based on their high scores on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).
