The kindergarten class traveled south of the equator to South America as part of an ongoing study about each continent throughout the school year. This journey coincided with the arrival of four Upper School exchange students from Colegio del Sagrado Corazón, the Sacred Heart Network school in Santiago, Chile. After sharing a presentation about their culture, the exchange students taught the kindergarten students a traditional Chilean dance and shared the recipe for a traditional Chilean snack, Manjar and crackers. Several craft projects rounded out the morning's activities, including creating monkeys, tree-frogs from the rain forest and the flag of Chile.
