The Academy of the Sacred Heart Mothers' Club held their annual spring luncheon on April 25 at the home of Julie Habetz to honor the wonderful volunteers of the Mothers' Club and to celebrate a successful year. With over 20 committees, the Mothers' Club is dedicated to enhancing the Sacred Heart experience and connecting the school community through various volunteer and social events. This school year, the Mothers' Club launched several new initiatives, including a back-to-school shopping night, Trunk or Treat, a Christmas luncheon, and a pop-up happy hour.
Headmistress Sr. Melanie Guste, RSCJ, recognized the 2017-2018 Mothers' Club Co-Presidents, Katie Eddins and Alyson Igoe for their leadership throughout the school year, as well as Elizabeth Bush and Adele Ralston, Auction Co-Chairs; Stephanie Schott, who co-chaired Congé with her husband, Louis; and Erin Hymel, who co-chaired the Annual Giving Campaign with her husband, J.P.* The Co-Presidents then thanked the outgoing Mothers' Club Executive Board and committee chairs for their service. Additionally, the incoming Co-Presidents, Charlotte Benton and Mandi Frischhertz, announced the Mothers' Club Executive Board for the 2018-2019 school year.

*Each year, the Mothers' Club Co-Presidents and the Chairs of Auction, Congé, and Annual Giving are given a special necklace with a gold Sacred Heart crest by India Stewart in gratitude for their service in leadership positions. If a volunteer has served in two of these roles, she receives the same gold necklace with the addition of a pearl. If she has served in three of these positions, she receives a necklace with a ruby.
